Chocolate Covered Strawberry Footballs

  • 32 ounces fresh strawberries, washed & dried
  • 1 1/2 cups semi sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 1/4 tsp coconut oil divided {optional}
  • 1/4 cup white chocolate chips


  • Make sure strawberries are completely dry, so blot with extra paper towels if necessary {the chocolate won't stick to a wet strawberry}.
  • Put the semi sweet chocolate chips and oil in a microwave safe bowl. Microwave on 50% power for 1 minute. Stir and microwave for another 30 seconds on 50% power. Stir until smooth. If needed, microwave in 15 second increments on 50% power until melted.
  • Dip strawberries in melted semi sweet chocolate. Sit on a wax paper lined plate to set.
  • Repeat with remaining strawberries. Refrigerate.
  • Put the white chocolate chips and 1/4 tsp coconut oil in a small microwave safe bowl and microwave on 50% for 30 seconds. Stir until smooth. Microwave in 15 second increments on 50% power, if needed, until melted. Transfer to a small zip-top bag. Cut a tiny piece of the corner off the bag.
  • Take the strawberries out of the refrigerator and draw laces on the strawberries using the white chocolate in a zip-top bag. Refrigerate until hardened.
  • Best served soon after taking them out of the refrigerator. Enjoy!
