A flavor explosion in a bowl, this spicy Wasabi Edamame Dip is tasty and high in protein
It’s no secret that I like dips. I can’t decide if it’s absurd or awesome that I’ve posted over 25 recipes for dips on my blog in the past almost-four-years. I’m gonna go with awesome because come on… who doesn’t like dips?
If I can stick something in my mini food processor and eat it with veggies or fruit, I feel really happy.
There’s never been a moment where I felt sad that someone brought dip (especially Mushroom and Bacon Dip). I never regret my decision to make cookie dough dip. Never. And I’ve never met a hummus I didn’t like.A flavor explosion in a bowl. This spicy Wasabi Edamame Dip is tasty and high in #proteinClick To Tweet
For this Wasabi Edamame Dip I used wasabi (obviously), sesame seeds, soy sauce, lime juice, and cayenne pepper to give it tons of flavor. Tons. It’s like a flavor explosion up in this here dip!
I love serving dips with sliced veggies (or sliced fruit if that is more appropriate — like cookie dough dip). However, I sorta kinda ate this dip with a spoon. I had a big ole kale caesar salad for lunch so I didn’t feel like I desperately needed more veggies in my day. More on that kale salad next week (get excited!)
Feel free to change the amount of heat in the dip by adjusting how much wasabi and cayenne pepper you use. Personally, I like things spicy so I used a heavy hand when adding the amounts. But it’s up to you.
Hold up! Do you even know what edamame is? They’re soybeans, and you can read all about edamame here.
