Yesterday, I posted about this Greek Tuna Salad, and I was just going to leave it at that. But then I realized that one of my favorite ways to enjoy tuna (and the one I eat the most) is with salsa.
I always have tuna and salsa in my pantry. Always. Whenever I’m feeling too lazy to cook, I just stir some salsa into tuna and each with chips or veggies. It doesn’t sound gourmet, and it’s not but tuna + salsa is a combo that shouldn’t be overlooked.
First of all, tuna is a fabulous, budget-friendly, high quality protein choice.
It’s recommended that you get at least 2-3 servings of seafood a week, and while that’s pretty easy to do if you live by the water, it can get tough if you don’t have easy access to fresh seafood or don’t have the budget for fresh seafood (which can unfortunately get a little pricey).Southwest Tuna Wraps are easy, nourishing, and delicious filled with #tuna, mashed avocado, and cilantroClick To Tweet
Enter canned tuna.
I think my favorite aspect of canned tuna is its convenience.
I have at least 3 cans of tuna in my pantry at all times. You can make so many things with tuna other than just tuna salad (be sure to scroll beyond the recipe for more ideas!).
Why do you need tuna in your life?
Well, it’s a great source of lean protein, high in selenium and niacin, has vitamins B6 and B10, and it’s incredibly affordable. Plus, it boasts omega 3’s which can help fight inflammation, heart disease, and more.
These wraps are a mix of guacamole and salsa with tuna.
How can you go wrong with that?
Even if you think you didn’t like tuna, you should give these a try!
