This icing is quick and easy to make. Plus it's super yummy! Now you don't need to buy store-bought frosting from a can.
There's no need to buy pre-made icing at the store when it is so easy to make your own. I promise. It takes less than 10 minutes to make as much or as little icing as you need.
This icing is great to ice a cookie cake or to decorate these sugar cookies.
Please excuse the ugly pictures...
Butter Cream Icing
Ingredients
- 1¼ cup powdered sugar
- ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoon butter room temperature
- 1-2 tablespoon milk any kind {start with 1 tablespoon and increase as needed}
Instructions
- Combine all the ingredients together using a mixer or sturdy spatula. {I use a spatula, so I don't have much to clean after}. Add more milk if you want a thinner consistency. Add more powdered sugar if you want a thicker consistency.
- Make sure to cover when not in use, so it doesn't dry out. I keep it covered in a container in the refrigerator (since there is butter and milk in it). If you need to, just add a little more milk to make it spreadable again.
Notes
Enjoy!
