Who doesn’t love an easy appetizer? Three ingredients, a few steps, and you’ve got yourself a delicious snack.
The fact that there are tons and tons and tons of appetizer recipes out there can make a girl crazy. Sometimes simple apps with just a few ingredients are the best answers to your appetizer decisions.
All you need for these Hummus Stuffed Peppers is Sabra Jalapeño Hummus, mini peppers, and cheese (I used pepper jack for extra spiciness).
Just slice your mini bell peppers in half and take out any seeds or ribs. Then fill each with a spoonful of hummus and sprinkle with cheese. Bake and you’re done!
These addicting little spicy bites are delicious! I wanted to eat them all!
The mini bell peppers are on the sweeter side, so they balance the spiciness of the Jalapeño Hummus and pepper jack cheese. If you don’t want them really spicy, use a mild cheese like mozzarella or mild cheddar.
They are tasty fresh out of the oven or at room temperature.

My favorite part (other than how delicious they taste) is that they are a nourishing appetizer.
The words nourishing and appetizer don’t usually go together since most appetizers you find are filled with mayo, tons of cheese, sauces, etc. But not these!
They have peppers (yay for veggies!) and just #TwoSpoons of Sabra hummus helps you get in your recommended serving of beans for the week! Plus, the hummus (and cheese) add a little protein in there, too.

You might not get as excited about healthy appetizers as I do, but you will get excited with how these are easy, irresistible bites of yum!
Hummus Stuffed Peppers
- 1 pound mini bell peppers about 24 mini peppers, sliced with ribs & seeds removed
- 1 cup Sabra Jalapeño Hummus
- 4 ounces cheese about 1 cup, shredded
- Preheat the oven to 400*F. Line a baking sheet with foil (for easier clean up).
- Fill each mini pepper half with about 1 teaspoon of Sabra Jalapeño Hummus. Sprinkle with about 1 teaspoon of shredded cheese.
- Bake for 5 minutes. Turn on broiler and broil for 2-3 minutes until bubbly. Enjoy hot or room temperature.
