Ginger, Honey, and Lemon White Tea Concentrate for an easy cup of delicious, cold-fighting beverage
I often find myself craving tea.
So it's tempting to stop at the local coffee shop and pick up a tea when I'm out running errands.
Or grab a bottle of the nice-looking bottled tea at the grocery store.
Those bottled teas always sound so delicious... Mango, Raspberry Lemon, Jasmine Pomegranate... You can see how a tea-lover like me would be tempted.
Then I spy one that has ginger and next thing I know I'm the proud owner of an overpriced bottle of tea in a pretty glass container. Fiddlesticks.
How do I solve problems like these? I make it myself.
Unfortunately, I don't always have ample time to boil water with ginger then add in tea and let that steep then stir in honey and lemon and yada yada yada.
So I make a big batch of my magical tea concentrate and keep it in the fridge all week to make quick cups of flavored, amazingly delicious tea.
I'm pretty sure it's a placebo effect but I am convinced that white tea keeps me from getting sick. In the past 5 years, the only two times I've gotten sick have been when I didn't drink my daily cup o' white tea. Coincidence? I don't care; I'm sticking to it.
Ginger, honey, and lemon are also really great when you aren't feeling your best.
Keeping a batch of this magical Cold-Fighting Tea Concentrate in my fridge makes it easy for me to get in my sickness-preventing-beverage.
Depending on your preference you can make this hot or cold. Just stir 2 ounces {ยผ cup} of tea concentrate into 6 ounces of hot or ice-cold water, and enjoy!
