Today is Recipe ReDux day and this month’s theme is: Spring Clean the Kitchen – Cook with at least 3 ingredients that are actually in your refrigerator or pantry right now. Try not to go to the store to buy anything new.
Funny enough, this is basically my life goal — constantly cleaning out my pantry (and frequently refilling it) so I never get in a pickle where I have to go to the grocery store to make a meal. [I keep these 10 ingredients in my kitchen always]
I love the grocery store but only when I have the time to enjoy the store. I do not love the store when I forgot an ingredient or have to go at a time with a lot of traffic.
I personally love walking to the store but since the closest store is a 20 minute walk, I do this option less frequently. Take it from my experience, walking a mile and a half with a whole chicken and a bunch of other things on your shoulders. Not ideal.
Anywho, I like to keep a stocked pantry and fill my fridge with the important things. Important things like eggs and hummus. And there is always a fresh herb or two hanging out in my fridge. And by fresh I mean not all the leaves are completely brown or dried up.
Thus, we have these Hummus Deviled Eggs. Three ingredients all found in my fridge. To be honest, you just need two ingredients but I added a little cilantro since my hummus was jalapeno cilantro, and I wanted something to add a little extra color to these deviled eggs.
Y’all, if you’ve never made hummus deviled eggs, it’s time to change that!

Hummus Deviled Eggs
What You'll Need:
- 6 large eggs
- 1/2 cup hummus any flavor
- 1 TBSP fresh herbs optional
How to Make It:
Add the eggs to a pot and cover with cold water.
Bring to a boil and cover. Turn off the heat, and let sit for 13 minutes.
Drain water and cover eggs in cold water. Let sit for a few minutes then peel.
Slice the eggs in half and transfer the yolks to a bowl.
Mash the yolk and stir in the hummus until completely combined.
Fill the egg white with the mixture (using about 1 tablespoon per egg). Sprinkle with fresh herbs and/or paprika if desired
